About Rotary

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto, "Service Above Self," Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

Our values are simply but powerfully stated in the Rotary Four-Way Test. Of the things we think, say, or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS/
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The Rotary Foundation

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

About Mount Clemens Rotary Club
Welcome to our Mount Clemens Rotary club!  In 1920, our club was chartered by 19 men; and has grown steadily over the years, boasting a membership of not only community minded men – but community minded women as well.  We look forward to working with you in carrying out our many projects dedicated to helping our community, our country and our world.  We also look forward to sharing with you our laughter, fun and goods time – of which there are many.

People will ask you “what is rotary?”  We hope that you will share with them our rotary motto “service above self.”  Rotarians feel deeply that “he profits most who serves the best.”  Doing “good” for others is the basis of our rotary spirit.  Together, we “lend a hand” and “help other people’s efforts,” serving our community, our country and many world-wide projects and human needs.

With these aims in mind, we welcome you to walk the walk, talk the talk, do the deeds and serve the needs that make us proud to be rotarians!
Rotary Values
Our values are simply but powerfully stated in the Rotary Four-Way Test. The Four Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships.
