About Rotary

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto, "Service Above Self," Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

Our values are simply but powerfully stated in the Rotary Four-Way Test. Of the things we think, say, or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS/
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The Rotary Foundation

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

About Mount Clemens Rotary Club
Rotary is a worldwide organization but the impact is felt right here in our community. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
Our Club is nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto, “Service Above Self,” Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

OUR CLUB WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1920
Paul Harris, an attorney in Chicago, formed the first Rotary Club on February 23rd of 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Mount Clemens Rotary followed in these footsteps 15 years later.
Rotary Values
Our values are simply but powerfully stated in the Rotary Four-Way Test. The Four Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships.
