GUESTS AND VISITORS
Ellen Lysik was on welcome duty today welcoming our Mayor Barb Dempsey, Sara Dahlman guest of Ken Steele, Dale McNabb and Ken Hagar guests of Margo Baker, and our speakers Tom Barnes and Carl Hay. And of course we welcomed them all with a song.
FLOWERS
Gloria Murray sold flowers. Only one birthday and that was for Patty Kaufman’s husband Matt Rigotti. She had a lot of flowers to sell. Ken Steele bought one for his guest Sarah. Paul Woodring for Joe Casasanta. Glenn Burton got one for Sam. Gary the pianoman bought one for our waitress Tina. Bob Lee bought one for Kris Howell. Kris Howell bought one back at Bob Lee, and Steve Krankota got the last one for Dave Gerlach just because he’s such a nice guy.
MUSIC

Sam D’Angelo was on music duty this week. Stumble bumbling around we tried to sing Rotary bonds to the tune of “This is My Country.” The pianoman finally got it right and we sang both but neither was our best shot!
ANNOUNCEMENTS, SUNSHINE, GOODWILL
Good wishes and get well soon to Julie Miller and to Kelly Allen’s husband Jeremy who was in a horrible car accident. Car looks totaled and he has about 14 stitches in his head.
RECOGNITION

Tom Davies subbing for Eric (my mom didn’t take me with her on a cruise just my brother Tim) Pierson. First off, he had the GALL to fine our esteemed Mayor (who isn’t even a member, just a guest) but Gary the pianoman paid the $5 for her.
Then he started on yours truly because Eric asked me first to do recognition before him. Then he proceeded to blame me for the kitchen’s neglect to set out clean plates for lunch! Greasy and

crusty on the bottoms only, instead of putting them back on the clean pile, I handed them off to him, Don Carnaghi, and Ken Steele. (Proves guys just don’t care, they took them anyway). $3 for three plates.
Gary Pianoman $1 for leaving early.
Jessica Johnson lost her cell phone for a minute (Tom Davies found it, of course) she got two $1 fines. This scribe could not make out

what for due to the mumbling and rambling on of an old man.
Sam D’Angelo got fined $5 for doing a beer commercial at Comerica Park. While attending the Tigers baseball game on Rotary night.
Ken Kish was fined $2 for not knowing who wrote our welcome song “We are glad to see you here at Rotary.” Bugs Lindsay a one-time Mount Clemens Mayor.

Lastly Tom fined Paul Woodring $3 for hanging out in the bars with Joe Casasanta. Months ago Casasanta bought Paul’s table drinks and it took Paul this long to buy Joe a flower in appreciation.
SPEAKER
Tom Barnes spoke about his life as a troubled youth. He is trying to bring programs to the Mount Clemens youth at the Jermaine Jackson Center. Keeping the kids active and out of trouble and finding out just what programs that are successful at the center.
PS
I would have more but I couldn’t read Steve Krankota’s writing. Thank you Steve for remaining to finish the bulletin when I had to leave.
