President Karan opened the meeting with the Pledge and national anthem. Margo Baker led the group in “The Four-Way Test” followed by Tom Davies giving the invocation. IAMCC treated the club to a warm beef stew lunch accompanied with Caesar salad, green beans and dessert. (I don't know where Larry Neal got the muffin he was enjoying.)
PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS ensued, looking for a new slate of officers. If you are interested, throw your hat into the ring and get involved.
The district dinner is a sellout at Fox Hills, so if you snoozed, you lost out.
Scott Chabot introduced our two guests: John Abraham (our guest speaker) and Tracey from the YMCA - guest of Steve Krankota.
FLOWERS
Patty Kaufman purchased a flower for Louise from McLaren. Birthday boys were Ryan Murphy and Art Niederkohr (in absentia.) Bill Furest celebrated 58 years of marriage with only two being blissful, and Ken Kish must be off with his bride celebrating 42 years. There was more than a bouquet of flowers bid upon: Bob Lee bought a carnation for Kris Howell for the Richmond Theatre on-goings, Piano man Gary took care of Tina (that's several weeks in a row.) I think Patty Kaufman bought another one, but I missed who it was for, Mary Bednar dressed up piano man Gary. Sarah Lee bought one for her brother Bob, honoring opening night at the theatre. Finally, Val Miller had to have a flower to compliment her Annie Oakley outfit, sporting a couple of six-shooters and a cowgirl hat.
Ken Steele headed up music with a standing rendition of “God Bless America” and “All Hail to Rotary.”
Sunshine - no report
GOODWILL
President Karan's mother is hospitalized for unknown reason and Bill Furest's daughter-in-law is at U of M medical facility - Prayers to both!

CHUCK DIB INTRODUCED OUR GUEST SPEAKER, JOHN ABRAHAM
John is the director of Traffic & Roads in Macomb County. He earned his PhD in civil engineering. He imparted some interesting facts about Macomb County: We have 855,000 people, 735 traffic signals, 2,000 electronic traffic devices, 300 surveillance cameras, 50,000 traffic signs, and 1,700 miles of roads. His job is to maintain quality and control and with a focus on safety. Macomb County boasts the most sophisticated equipment for traffic technology in the United States. In spite of the technology, 50 people die on Macomb County roads each year and there are over 25,000 car crashes. 96 percent of the crashes are operator error. The control center hosts the 911 Dispatch Center and Emergency Operations Center. Macomb County was honored with 2015 Transportation Achievement Award. Q&A ensued.
Val Miller took home the spoils from the 50-50 and the meeting was adjourned.
