Rotarians all arrived wearing their masks and took them off for lunch. We were all seated three at a table.
President Valerie Miller started the meeting promptly at 12:15.
Sarah Lee couldn’t decide which comes first prayer or Pledge. She started off with the Pledge of Allegiance, then the prayer.
Food service will be plated rather than buffet style (Eric Pierson asked for two plates.)
Since food wasn’t quite ready, Valerie spoke about Rotary.
She quoted Ronald Reagan about whether or not you are wondering if you are making a difference in the world, we’ll we Rotarians know we are making a difference. In the last 10 years we have helped local charities to the tune of $800,000. It was a team effort!
(Food still not ready)
President Valerie went on to read Heb. 10 vs 23-24 (para. . . We need to lift ourselves up. This was sent to her by Sherri Patterson (Mrs. Veterinarian)
(food still not ready... Ron wants to leave and go to Burger King)
Val went on to show picture of her and Rotary International President Hover Neck. His slogan for Rotary this year is ROTARY OPENS OPPORTUNITIES. She has had a banner made with that on that will be displayed at every one of our meetings and events.
AH! The salad arriveth!
She continued the meeting after the salad.
Rotary Board meeting was last night out on beautiful Lake St. Clair.
Valerie thanked Karan Bates-Gasior for doing a wonderful job as president, as she introduced her board.

Food still not here (My guest, my husband, really wants to leave now)
President Val congratulated Jeff Furest on 25 years a Rotarian and gave him his new silver badge. (While Glenn Burton is wondering why his is still white when he claims he’s been a member longer than Jeff.)
FOOD STILL NOT HERE
We watched a movie on Rotary I couldn’t concentrate on it with my husband bitching in my ear.
Then Val told us of losing Rotarian Dave Meldrum and Patty Kaufman.
WHALLA! Chicken (!!!) has arrived,
with green beans and roasted potatoes.
The chicken was ala something.
Glenn Burton said just put a vowel after it.
With cake for dessert.
My Ron was happy.
Ron Dedenbach was the only guest and it was also his birthday. Our table using their inside voice sang him Happy Birthday.

Val bought one for outgoing Pres Karan, Steve Krankota for Val, Jeff Furest for Steve, Glenn and yours truly.
