DISTRICT 6380 YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM
This message was sent to everyone in the district. This year, D6380 received 14 exchange students from all over the globe. If your club is one of the lucky ones hosting, you already know about this amazing program. In the spring, students go on the East Coast Adventure trip that takes them through Gettysburg, Washington, D.C., NYC and Boston, Mass., just to name a few.
This trip starts and stops in Columbus, OH. This year, we have eight students making the trip, so we have reserved a 15-passenger van to accommodate all the students and their bags, and we need two volunteers for each leg of the trip. The trip is 22-31 March and we have already have the TO leg completed.
We are looking for the RETURN leg on Sunday 31 March. Students arrive to Columbus, OH about 6:30 p.m. and need to be driven back to dropoff points to make it easier on the driver. The vehicle can be rented close to your home to make pickup on 30 March and return on 1 April easier. Rental costs, gas and food for the driver and a passenger will be reimbursed by the youth exchange program. Very light traffic and tired students make for a quiet ride home as I have made this trip several times before.
Anyone interested is asked to email me at gabrielnaran@gmail.com. Thank you to those clubs that are actively participating in this amazing program and if it has been a while since your club has, get back involved. I promise you will not regret it.
Yours in Service,
Gabriel Naranjo
