President Larry Neal called the meeting to order at exactly
12.15 p.m. He called on our visiting Interact club members, Madison Atwell and Lauren Greshak, to lead The Pledge and “The Four-Way Test.” Julie Huttenlocher gave the invocation.
Today's lunch? We enjoyed tender chicken in gravy with peas, roasted potatoes and green beans, followed by salad and cake for dessert.
President Larry started by welcoming our two Interact club representatives, Madison and Lauren. Both had attended RYLA this year. They spoke about their great experience and how it led to their interest in starting the Interact club in their own school. The club has been going for a year now and has caught on with many other students. The group is planning to assist with several of our club projects.
Karan noted that the two also attended the district conference. They made a strong impression and the Mount Clemens club received high praise for having such great student representatives.

Kelly Allen asked for thoughts and prayers for all those living near Lake St. Clair in Harrison Township. Heavy rain has led to extreme high water levels and flooding, threatening many homes.
NANCY DEDENBACH CALLED FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chuck Dib said that 440 tickets have been sold for the fundraiser with a few more expected. What to wear? Chuck says "Nightclub Attire Through the Ages.” Kris Howell remarked that a planning meeting at the Emerald Theatre brought all the participating groups together for the first time. This really stoked up the enthusiasm for the party. Kelly Allen is still looking for gift cards and cash contributions.
RECOGNITION
Nancy asked all Clinton Township residents to stand and then issued fines of $2 each for the new library. Bill Furest told a story about a traffic light in the middle of nowhere. It was in front of his cabin so he paid $5.
Nancy provided a history lesson by leading a game of charades. Pitting tables against each other, the challenge was to act out a famous event that happened in May. The actors were pretty good as all the events were guessed: the Lewis and Clark expedition, sinking of the Lusitania, the Hindenburg explosion, the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II and Sigmund Freud's birthday.
There was no program today. Instead, we were put to work by Chuck Dib who led an envelope stuffing project for the fundraiser.
The 50/50 winner was Eric Pierson $29.
