RECOGNITION

Larry Neal led recognition and asked Tom Welsh to be his apprentice. First up were fines for vacations. Ryan Murphy was fined $4 for four days in Salt Lake City and Val Miller was fined $5 for Hawaii and Florida. Don Carnaghi and Ken Steele were each fined $5. Barbara was fined $1 for Jeri Hunley missing so many meeting due to her non-profit work.

Anyone wearing green was targeted next for St. Paddy’s Day trivia. Larry and Tom went around to each table to select one person wearing green they then pulled a Post-It Note from Larry’s notebook which had a question and fine amount tied to it. If the person answered the question right they were excused from the fine. Tom Davies was fined $4.99 for not knowing that St. Patrick was born in England. Sarah Lee was fined $1 for not knowing where the first St. Patrick’s Day parade was held. Scott Chabot was fined $2 for not knowing corned beef was in fact an invention of the U.S. not Ireland. Ted DeVantier did not know that St. Patrick banned snakes from Ireland so he was fined $3. Finally, Ken Steele was fined $3 for not knowing the Celtic name for Shamrock is Seemrey.
